U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich will be meeting with locked-out Cooper Tire workers on Saturday to express his support for them.

The Democrat, who represents Ohio's 10th Congressional District in Cuyahoga County, plans to be at the United Steelworkers of America Local 207L hall, at 1130 Summit St., at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

Cooper Tire's unionized workers have been locked out nearly 10 weeks since they rejected the company's proposed labor contract.

"I want to show my appreciation for the willingness of the workers to take a stand. They're standing up not only for themselves and their families. They're standing up for all workers," Kucinich said. "The workers at Cooper have shown great courage and fortitude."

Kucinich is a former mayor of Cleveland, and has run twice for the Democratic nomination for president.
