Union Members to Protest Casino Project in Atlantic City
Source: The Star Ledger

Members of a workers union are protesting tax breaks for the Revel casino that is being built in Atlantic City and is scheduled to open next year.

The union, UNITE-HERE, plans to protest outside the Jersey City office of Morgan Stanley today. Union members are expected to be joined by conservative former gubernatorial candidate Steve Lonegan, according to a report in The Atlantic City Press.

The financial services company owns the property where the casino is under construction. Union members say Morgan Stanley should not get a state tax break that could save it $300 million because it has already received federal money. Revel is trying to obtain the state tax incentives.
