U.S. Postal Service strikes deal with labor union

(WTVA) - The U.S. Postal Service has struck a tentative deal with its largest labor union that could save the agency nearly $4 billion dollars.

The agreement would freeze salaries for two years.

It would also require more than 200,000 union members to pay a higher percentage of their healthcare costs.

Postal executives say the service will run out of money in September unless Congress changes the law on how the postal office funds retirement benefits.
