Continental Flight Attendants Reject Labor Deal
Source: Bloomber Businessweek
By: Associated Press

Flight attendants for Continental Airlines have rejected a proposed contract. Their union says it's because the agreement did not give them back enough of the concessions they made in earlier contracts.

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers announced the vote on Wednesday. The union says 55 percent of those voting rejected the deal. It says it's ready to keep negotiating.

Continental is owned by United Continental Holdings Inc. Continental and United flight attendants are represented by different unions. The company has said it hopes to have United and Continental operating as one airline by the end of next year.
